چکیده

For developing the receiver side digital signal processing techniques, necessary for the non-line of sight (NLOS) optical wireless scattering communication channel model. A linear time-invariant (LTI) Poisson channel modeling method, to model the NLOS optical wireless scattering communication, which was originally proposed for molecular communication is considered. In such a model the stochastic inter-symbol interference (ISI) is analyzed. The transmitter side is characterized by the pulse code modulation (PCM) and transmitted through the above. The channel estimation schemes, based on the least squares and correlation criteria is done, and analyzed the performance of the proposed channel estimation schemes. Also two signal detection schemes, namely the simple linear minimum mean square error (LMMSE) receiver treating ISI as noise and the maximum-likelihood sequence detection (MLSD) scheme that takes ISI into account and compared the same. PCM gives the fastest transmission and better SNR value than that of PPM. This paper presents a novel and effective study of the performance of the channel using PCM and the comparison of the same with PPM.

Signal detection Using Rational Function Curve Fitting

In this manuscript, we proposed a new scheme in communication signal detection which is respect to the curve shape of received signal and based on the extraction of curve fitting (CF) features. This feature extraction technique is proposed for signal data classification in receiver. The proposed scheme is based on curve fitting and approximation of rational fraction coefficients. For each symbo...

A 1Mbps Real-time NLOS UV Scattering Communication System with Receiver Diversity over 1km

In the non-line of sight (NLOS) ultraviolet (UV) scattering communication, the received signals exhibit the characteristics of discrete photoelectrons due to the extremely large path loss. We design and demonstrate an NLOS UV scattering communication system in this work, where the receiver-side signal detection is designed based on a discrete-time Poisson channel model. In our system, a laser a...

Numerical studies on time-domain responses of on-off-keyed modulated optical signals through a dense fog.

We present a numerical technique to simulate the propagation characteristics of an on-off-keyed modulated optical signal through fog. The on-off-keyed modulated light (a square wave) is decomposed into a finite number of harmonic components, and a numerical solution for the vector radiative transfer equation is obtained for each harmonic that corresponds to the modulation frequency. With this m...

A Novel Multi-user Detection Approach on Fluctuations of Autocorrelation Estimators in Non-Cooperative Communication

Recently, blind multi-user detection has become an important topic in code division multiple access (CDMA) systems. Direct-Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS) signals are well-known due to their low probability of detection, and secure communication. In this article, the problem of blind multi-user detection is studied in variable processing gain direct-sequence code division multiple access (VPG D...
